I've been looking to get my hands dirty writing simple gnome apps with
the ultimate goal of becoming an open source contributor.  What kind of
development tools do most of the folks hacking on evo use?  (I'm used to
the Java world where IDE's are a dime a dozen)

I was hoping some of the ximian folks could guide my search or offer
some advice as they have created what I think is hands down the most awe
inspiring open source application.
