Send Later didn't actually work the way people expected it to. All it
meant was "put this into Outbox, but don't *immediately* send it". But
if you wrote one message and clicked "Send Later", and then wrote a
second message and clicked "Send", *both* of the messages would then get
sent.

If you want to save a message so you can go back and finish it later, do
File -> Save Draft. (Or just try to close the window and choose "Save"
when it asks you if you want to save changes.) That will save a copy of
it to your Drafts folder, and you can double-click on it from there to
open it up and continue writing (or send it right away if you want).
