[Evolution] Check for new mail in local folders

Hi,

How can I tell Evo to check for new Mail in all local folders?
Evo only gets aware of the new mail when I select the folder.
As I have heard of many people using procmail to filter their mail,
there ist probably a way to do this.
Im using Evo 1.4.5 from Debian unstable...
