jeff already posted the developer's point of view. :-)
to express it as a user:
evolution supports outline pgp, you want inline pgp. outline pgp is
standardized (rfc3156), inline pgp has a few problems that make it hard
to deal with (e.g. support of different charsets; other encodings,
anyone please correct me if i'm wrong).
