Hi Michael and others,
For me it's seems to be easier to implement advanced font properties for VLC for now.
At least check - hinting, autohinting, antialiasing, bitmap - properties from fontconfig and try to apply them to OOo glyphs.
I'm just a humble Java programmer with just a little real C++ experience.
Can I ask again who is author of this patch?
http://ooo.ximian.com/patches/test/vcl-font-hinting.diff
..and what is the purpose of the patch and why is in testing directory?
It seems to be a good starting point for me.
