[Open Office] automake 1.9 / failed patch(es)

It would be cool if the ooo-build ./configure script would detect
which version of automake you were using, and not let you proceed
until you upgrade to 1.8/1.9. I was using version 1.4, and yes, that
was the problem.

Now I have a different problem:

Hunk #1 succeeded at 594 with fuzz 1 (offset 7 lines).
patching file scp2/source/testtool/file_testtool.scp

Testing patch disable-helpcontent2.diff failed. at
/home/kostmo/ooo-build/patches/apply.pl line 54.
make: *** [stamp/patch.apply] Error 1

I've obtained similar patching errors on different builds and linux
distributions. How does one deal with failed patches?
