[Open Office] Regcomp segfaults when registering java components

I've had a go at this issue again, this time with a self-built gcc 4.1.2
(preview 20061027) - and regcomp still segfaults. Argh..
I have attached the gdb traces for gcc4.1.1 regcomp (gdb_gcc411.log) and
gcc4.1.2 regcomp (gdb_gcc412.log), in case  someone who hath
understanding (and is in touch with the force) could have a look at
them. If it really is a compiler bug, I guess gcc 4.2 is the next option.
