[Open Office] OO.o 2.0.3 and file requesters...

Hi there,

First message from this scribbler to the list, so please be nice. ;)

Q: How the **** do I make OO.o 2.0.3 (I'm downloading 2.0.4 as I write
this) use the standard Gnome file requesters instead of its own
proprietary, /we-know-better/ one?

At some point in time (and I started using StarOffice back at version
3.1 beta under OS/2!), I liked the concept of its own wide file
requesters, but lately (must be my creeping conservatism -only on UI
issues-, I prefer all apps to share a system-wide file requester).

I noticed that back in the 1.x days of OO.o there was a special
"Openoffice-kde" build that apparently "automagically" made use of KDE
and/or Gnome file requesters depending on the environment being run,
were appropiate. So, I'm kinda puzzled to see 2.0.3 revert back to its
own standard file requester. Any reason for doing this instead of the
"common sense" approach of detecting the environment and using the
standard file requester?

TIA for any pointers.

FC
