It might be more instructive to run mozilla rather than galeon (reduces
it to a simpler case), it might be best to run it in a terminal window
(in case of stdout spewage), and it might be useful to see whether root
has the same problem.
This version of mozilla/galeon had worked for your prior to the crash?
Start galeon, works fine, go to work, come home, galeon has crashed and
hasn't worked since? Sounds very strange.
