I myself have successfully used a similar strategy -
.net 1.1 application "logic" plus .net 1.1 window
forms on windows and cocoa# on mac. It worked fine for
me
(you can take a look at kofolders.com download page,
though there is no help on using the app)
However, I used the binaries of MonoFramework-1.1.13.4
and did not re-build cocoa#. In fact, I did all my
compiling in Visual Studio - even the mac assemblies!
I use mac only to create dmg files (and testing :-)
The mono version was chosen arbitrarily (that was the
most recent version the day I started) and I haven't
changed or touched anything since.
Hope this helps somewhat. I have a number of users and
hundreds of user-hours and there have been no GUI or
other "infrastructure" problems up to now on Mac
(Windows is obviously stable too)
