            <div> Hi there,<br>
              <br>
              looking at
              <a moz-do-not-send="true"
                href="http://www.mono-project.com/Oracle">
                http://www.mono-project.com/Oracle</a> we can read that
              dotConnect for
              Oracle is an alternative to System.Data.OracleClient but,
              as stated here
              <a moz-do-not-send="true"
href="http://www.devart.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20012&amp;sid=6a67c8ca2658431f2a36e9cf23f62217">http://www.devart.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20012&amp;sid=6a67c8ca2658431f2a36e9cf23f62217</a>
              dotConnect for Oracle supports Mono only in the Direct
              mode (without
              using Oracle Client). The Direct mode is available only in
              the
              Professional and Developer editions that are not free so
              is not a real
              alternative to System.Data.OracleClient.<br>
              I think you should modify the documentation page before
              someone migrates
              all the product and then find that the free librery
              doesn't
              work.<br>
              <br>
              There's some other library that Mono teams suggests to
              connect to Oracle
              without using System.Data.OracleClient?<br>
